
Hot Bean Salad
Ingredients
- 10 oz. pkg frozen cut green beans
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 tbs. snipped chives or chopped green onions
- 4 slices bacon cut small
- 2 tbs.. sugar
- 2 tbs. cider vinegar
- 2 tbs. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions
- Cook beans and celery together in a small amount of boiling water until tender-crisp, about 8 minutes.
- Drain. Add chives or green onions and toss lightly with a fork.
- Cook bacon in a small skillet until crisp while vegetable are cooking.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in all remaining ingredients.
- Heat to boiling.
- Pour over beans and celery.
- Toss lightly with a fork.
- Serve immediately.
