Crunch Almond Bars
- about 30 graham wafers
- 2 cups sliced almonds
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- Line 15 x 10 inch rimmed baking sheet with graham wafers in single
layer (cut them so that they completely cover the sheet - no gaps)
- Sprinkle with 1 cup almonds over waffers. Melt butter in sauce pan
over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to boil reduce heat to
med-low and cook, stiring 3 minutes (do not cook longer or syrup will
become hard) .
- Pour over wafers spread evely. Sprinkle the remaining almonds on
top.
- Bake 375 F about 8 minutes or until bubbly all over. Place baking
sheet on a wire rack. Cool 5 minutes. Cut into bars. Place back on
rack and cool completely. Makes 4 dozen.
